Description
In order to mimic loading of Am and Cm in zirconia, Zr0.70(Y1-xNdx)0.30O1.85 (0.0 ≤ x ≤ 1.0) system was synthesized and characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The entire system was found to be single-phasic fluorite-type and the lattice parameter of fluorite-type phase increases with increasing Nd3+ concentration in the system. (author)
