applications of modified Ginzburg-Landau equations in high temperature superconductors

Description

the target of the present thesis is to carry a detailed study on the Ginzburg-Landau equations and their use in selected problems related to conventional, as well as, to high temperature superconductors. the peculiar properties of the high temperature superconductors led to reconsider the Ginzburg-Landau (GL) theory in order to modify it to fit with the basic elementary experimental data of the high temperature superconductors. among these data there are the magnetic and electric properties and the important results of the thermal properties of the high temperature superconductors. the important features that led to study the possible modification; in Ginzburg-Landau theory are the fluctuation effects in high temperature superconductors. many authors showed, by analyzing the experimental data of the specific heat anomalous of high temperature superconductors, the importance of considering such modifications
