Description
Diamond has been investigated as part of the muon spin rotation (μSR) research program in the elemental semiconductors. Measurements on a powder sample at 6K showed two muonium states, similar to those in Si and Ge, which have been named 'normal' muonium (Mu) and 'anomalous' muonium (Mu*). Measurements on a single crystal have recently been made which have allowed the determination of the Mu* hyperfine parameters. (Auth.)
