Electron-radiation technology for medicinal preparations and materials treatment

Description
There are following aims of work: choice of radiation sterilization regimes for medicine preparations and development of electron-radiation technologies for material strengthening. During laboratory treatment different variants of ampoule arrangement (longitudinal, transverse, at angle, ampoule rotation in special socket, etc.) are studied. Concrete regimes of radiation treatment depending on production quality, particles energy, etc. are established: 1. Energy range of electron flows realizing on electron accelerator EhLU-6 - 2-6 MeV; 2. Insensitivities range during laboratory researches without use of technologic line 1-5 μA/cm; 3. Irradiation doses range 10-20 kGy; 4. Temperature of medicine preparations during irradiation by electrons in dependence on electrons energy and intensity of electron flows <50 deg C. Technological line for alloys and metals strengthening consists of following units: 1. Ion accelerator Vizuvij-6 type with particle energy up to 100 keV and flow up to 1000 μA; 2. Technological system including loading chamber, revolving drum, fastening device, engine with transmission system; vacuum system of pumping out; 3. Automated system for beam reaming and for control by ion accelerator parameters; 4. Device for preliminary treatment on the basis of vacuum post VUP-4; 5. Loading-unloading devices and units. It is determined, that corresponding regimes for aluminium and titanium alloys radiation strengthening are follows: Energy intervals during irradiation by nitrogen ions 40-60 keV; 2. Density of ions flow 40-60 μA; 3. Optimal temperature range 20-70 deg C; 4. Optimal interval of irradiation 1016-1018 ion/cm; 5. Effect of microhardness increase achieves 20-60 %. Number of tests on materials strengthening by electron beams are carried out. Strengthening on 30-50 % is achieved
