Recent results from the TRIUMF optically pumped polarized ion source
- 1. TRIUMF, 4004 Wesbrook Mall, Vancouver, B.C., Canada V6T 2A6 (Canada)
Description
The TRIUMF optically pumped polarized H- ion source has been installed on the TRIUMF cyclotron. Initial results are 0.5 μA dc beam with 43% polarization at 290 MeV. This is expected to be improved upon with normal troubleshooting. A superconducting solenoid to be installed within the next few months will allow a significant further increase in both polarization and beam current
