Double folding analysis of elastic and inelastic alpha scattering from 36S using the JLM effective nucleon-nucleon interaction
- 1. Vrije Univ., Amsterdam (Netherlands). Natuurkundig Lab.
Description
In a folding analysis of alpha scattering not only the real part but also the imaginary part of the potential is obtained by double folding using the JLM effective nucleon-nucleon interaction. The method is applied to elastic scattering of 31.6 MeV alpha particles from 36S as well as to inelastic scattering to the 21+ and 31- states. A good description of the data is obtained while the deformation parameters compare very well with those obtained from a similar (p,p') analysis. (orig.)
