Description

Some optimum conditions were found for preparation of personnel thermoluminescent dosimeters from the systems fluorite-lithium fluoride-teflon and fluorite-teflon intended for measurements of the dose in mixed and homogeneous radiation fields of gamma rays and thermal neutrons. It was found that the dosimeters with 50% teflon content have a sufficient radiation sensitivity, mechanical strength and constancy in the dosimetric parameters at multiple use. Ten fluorite-teflon and ten fluorite-lithium fluoride-teflon dosimeters were prepared and a radiation dose of 5 rem by means of them was measured. It was found that the standard deviation of the average result of ten measurements is about 5% and that the maximum deviation of each result from the average one - less than 20%. It was also found that the difference between the average result obtained at the first use of the dosimeters and this one at the hundredth was about 4%. (author)
