Thermal constants of dysprosium dichloride melting

Description
Five parallel synthesis of crystal dysprosium dichloride were carried out. The substance was identified using chemical analytical method. Temperature and enthalpy of DyCl2 incongruent melting were measured by DTA method and thereafter melting entropy was calculated. DyCl2 melts at a temperature of 949±5 K with peritectics and DyCln crystal formation (0<n<2). DyCl2 melting enthalpy and entropy equal 13.4±2.6 kJ/mole and 14.1±2.8 J/(molexK) respectively
