Carbon determination in some refractory materials by α-particle activation and radiochemical 11C separation
Creators
Description
A technique of carbon determination in samples of niobium, titanium carbide by the activation with α-particles and radiochemical separation of 11C by wet oxidation with nitric, periodic acids, KMnO4 and oxygen or air, is developed. The method sensitivity, constituting 0.5x10-5 g/g, and degree of radiochemical separation, constituting 0.9 when oxygen is used and 0.5 in the case of air, are determined
