Asymmetries between D+ and D- meson xF and pt2 distributions

  • 1. Fermi National Accelerator Lab., Batavia, IL (United States)

Description

Asymmetries between the production of D+ and D- mesons when measured in terms of xF and pt2 are presented. These asymmetries are compared to the predictions from two models. These models predict the differences in the production distributions of heavy quark mesons that have a light quark in common with the beam ('leading particles') and those that do not ('non-leading'). Existing models do not agree with our data over the entire range of measured xF and pt2. (K.A.)
