Description
Transferred hyperfine fields measured by nuclear resonance techniques at Eu nuclei in EuX materials support theoretical models for two different transfer and exchange mechanisms: long range interactions via valence band electrons extending beyond the sixth Eu neighbours, and short range interactions due to d-orbital overlap between Eu nearest neighbours predominant in EuO.
