Deriving activity limits of waste packages to meet accident planning levels

Description
Within the framework of accident analyses for the planned Konrad repository, potential accidents have been analyzed which could occur in the phase of operation of the repository. The calculations performed in this case of potential radiological consequences in the vicinity of the plant, together with the basic planning levels under Sec. 28, Subsec. 3 of the German Radiation Protection Ordinance, constitute the basic for deriving activity limits of the waste packages to be stored. The report presents an outline of the approach used in deriving activity limits for specific radionuclides and radionuclide mixes. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
Die Vorgehensweise bei der Ableitung von Aktivitaetsgrenzwerten fuer einzelne Radionuklide und Radionuklidgemische zur Einhaltung der Planungsrichtwerte des Paragraphen 28 Abs. 3 StrlSchV wird dargestellt. Insbesondere wird beschrieben, welchen Einfluss die Revision der den radiologischen Rechnungen zugrunde liegenden Verordnungen und Berechnungsgrundlagen wie z.B. die Strahlenschutzverordnung, die Allgemeine Verwaltungsvorschrift zu Paragraph 45 und die Stoerfallberechnungsgrundlagen auf die Anzahl der unter Stoerfallaspekten relevanten Radionuklide und die Hoehe der Aktivitaetsgrenzwerte hat.
