Description

Mitomycin C, Bruneomicine and Bleomicine are inhibitors antibiotics of the nucleic acids synthesis. Mitomycin C is and alkylated agent while Bruneomicine and Bleomicine cause single and bilateral breaks in DNA strands. The concentration, where 50% of the population growth rate is inhibited, are determined in these experiment. Such concentration were used during the work carried out. Dose-effect curves obtained during irradiation are not significantly different from the control when Bruneomicine and Mitomycin C are use. A viability increased, in presence of Mitomycin C and Bleomicine, is seen in a two-hour period during liquid-medium recovery (LER). The presence of Bruneomicine during recovery causes an increase of lethality. Taking into account the three compound studied, the results obtained in the case of Bleomicine and Mitomycin C agree with those found by other authors as they use other biological systems while in the case of Bruneomicine, it is described for the first time
