Effect of minima in the generalized oscillator strength on the total ionization cross section
Description
It is shown that an inflection in the total ionization cross section of an atomic subshell can occur if the generalized oscillator strength has a minimum. Results of calculations for the proton impact ionization of the 2s subshell of Cu showing this phenomenon are presented.
