Nuclear power in eastern Europe
Creators
Description
Comments are made on the nuclear power programme in Eastern Europe, with special reference to safety and environmental problems in areas of high population density. Nuclear parks are mentioned in connection with an apparent change of government policy in siting new plants. Technical problems are referred to in discussing the nuclear power programme in Finland, Czechoslovakia and elsewhere. Public relations problems are reported in East Germany. Estimates are made of the originally planned, and of the revised, nuclear power programme in eastern Europe. (U.K.)
