Phytochrome control of its own synthesis in Pisum sativum
- 1. University of Freiburg (Germany)
Description
An analysis of phytochrome synthesis in Pisum seedlings by measuring the activity of polysomal polyadenylated RNA (poly-A+-RNA) coding for phytochrome apoprotein showed phytochrome control of its own synthesis; brief red-light irradiation of pea seedlings inhibited the activity of the RNA, and the red-light effect was red/far-red reversible
