Description

The paper describes a general outline of the work carried out for the Energy Department of the Ministry for Trade and Industry in Finland, as regards electricity production in the 1990's. Alternative programs and planning assumptions are discussed as well as the principal numerical results calculated in the study. This includes the different demand scenarios and demand structures, the electricity production costs, the optimal construction programs as well as the marginal production costs. (author)
