Description
X-ray diffraction study was made on four hydrated salts of bis(nitrilotriacetato) zirconate complexone: Li2[Zr(Nta)2]x3H2O(1), Na2[Zr(Nta)2]x4H2O (2), Cs2[Zr(Nta)2]xH2O (3), (CN3H6)2[Zr(Nta)2]xH)2O (4). Structural crystal units - [Zr(Nta)2]2+ anions, corresponding cations and crystallization water molecules. Statistics in location of Na+ cations and H2O molecules is observed in the structure of 2. Coordination number of Zr atom in 1-4 is equal to 8(2N+60 from two tetradentate-chelate ligands Nta). All carboxylated branches are completed by Zr atom with formation of glycinate metallocycles. Polyhedron of Zr atom in 1-4 - two-cap trigonal prism with N atoms, centering tetragonal faces. Structural elements are joined to three-dimensional system by means of cation-anion interaction and H-bonds with participation of H2O molecules. 18 refs.; 2 figs.; 7 tabs
