Description

Measurements of air to grass - dry and wet deposition rates, velocities, and mass interception factors for iodine are sparse in India. Data on these parameters are the basic input for the estimation of radiation dose to the public around a nuclear power plant. We have carried out systematic studies on air to grass - dry and wet deposition rates, velocities, and mass interception factors for iodine for a postulated emergency situation. The main objective of this study was to generate air to grass transfer factors for iodine for the environmental conditions prevailing in Kaiga
