Comment on the ''Effect of a strong magnetic field and high temperature on broken gauge theories''

Description

In a recent paper Chakrabarti has examined the effects of a strong magnetic field and high temperature on spontaneously broken gauge theories. We point out the invalidity of the approximation he has used to evaluate the one-loop effective potential. Using a rigorous and improved method, we obtain a result different from Chakrabarti's result. Further using this method we extend the results of the aforementioned paper by including fermions in the theory
