Preparation and performance of La1-xSr xCuO3-δ as cathode material in IT-SOFCs

Description

The cathode material La1-xSr xCuO3-δ (x = 0.15, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4) was synthesized by a sol-gel method. X-ray diffraction revealed it to form a single phase of perovskite. The investigation of the electrical properties suggested that La0.7Sr0.3CuO3-δ has the highest electrical conductivity. La0.7Sr0.3CuO3-δ has better electrochemical properties than La0.6Sr0.4CoO3-δ. When using La0.7Sr0.3CuO3-δ as cathode based on SDC electrolyte one can obtain higher current density and power density at intermediate temperatures
