Z(2) monopoles in lattice gauge theories
Creators

Description
Monte Carlo simulations show that the phase transition in SO(3) theories is related to the condensation of Z(2) monopoles, the low-temperature phase being SU(2). The Z(2) monopole current of SU(2) is undergoing a very rapid change in the weak- to strong-coupling transition region. (orig.)
