Description
The paper discussed a new approach to the expression of uncertainty in measurements. A brief historic review is made to track the development of the basic metrological notions. Possible enthropy assessments of uncertainty of linear 1D channel measurements are considered. An approach to the problem relying on the measurement theory is presented. The results are discussed taking into consideration general evolution trends of information science, measurement theory and theory of possibilities
