E2/M1 multipole admixtures of gamma transitions in even-even heavy nuclei
Description
Measurement of E2/M1 multipole mixing ratios of transitions in even-even nuclei have long provided important tests of nuclear models. The available experimental data on E2 / M1 multipole mixing ratios of gamma transitions de-exciting levels of beta and gamma vibrational bands to the ground state rotational band in even-even nuclei with 150 ≤ A ≤ 200 have been reviewed. The results have been compared to the predictions of the dynamic deformation model and the interacting boson model. (authors)
