Description
As part of the research on controlled thermonuclear fusion, conducted within the CEA, heating at electron cyclotron frequency, currently in operation on the Cadarache Tokamak - Tore Supra, is an experiment using gyrotrons 110 and 118 GHz. Gyrotrons are oscillators of electromagnetic waves that, when applied to fusion, heat the plasma. The purpose of this memoir is to present the rapid safety system which protects the gyrotrons and the equipment that surround them (transmission lines, antenna, high voltage system). This system has been studied and realized in order to combine a high response speed, the safety and reliability of a cable system, and then the flexibility of a programmable system. Installed and tested on the 110 GHz prototype gyrotron, the operation of the rapid safety system is correct. All the characteristics of the specifications are respected. This system is of interest to other users such as those responsible for heating at the inferior hybrid frequency (F - 3.7 GHz) and for the electronic laboratory. An improvement is proposed, which can be very useful for more complex experiences. (author)

Dans le cadre des recherches sur la fusion thermonucleaire controlee, menees au sein du CEA, le chauffage a la frequence cyclotronique electronique, en cours d'exploitation sur le TOKAMAK - TORE SUPRA a Cadarache, est une experience mettant en oeuvre des gyrotrons 110 et 118 GHz. Les gyrotrons sont des oscillateurs emettant des ondes electromagnetiques qui, appliques a la fusion, chauffent le plasma. Le present memoire a pour objet de presenter le systeme de securites rapides qui protegent les gyrotrons et les sous-ensembles qui les entourent (lignes de transmission, antenne, systeme haute tension). Ce systeme a ete etudie et realise afin de combiner une grande vitesse de reponse, la securite et la fiabilite d'un systeme cable, puis la flexibilite d'un systeme programmable. Installe et teste sur le gyrotron prototype 110 GHz, le fonctionnement du systeme de securites rapides est correct. Toutes les caracteristiques du cahier des charges sont respectees. Ce systeme a interesse d'autres utilisateurs tels que les responsables du chauffage a la frequence hybride inferieure (F = 3,7 GHz) et du laboratoire electronique. Nous proposons une amelioration, qui jugee non prioritaire maintenant, peut s'averer tres utile pour des experiences plus complexes. (auteur)Files
