Description
We have investigated the puzzling normal-state transport properties of epitaxial Y Ba2Cu3O7-δ thin films. The Hall coefficient RH(B, T, δ) and the resistance ρxx(B, T, δ) were measured for an oxygen deficiency δ from 0.05 to 0.5. The temperature dependence of the cotangent of the Hall angle cotθH = ρxx(T)/(RH(T) Bz) fits the relation cot θ = α T2 + C. The value of α at B = 1Tesla for the film with the highest critical temperature Tc is α = 40 x 10-3 K-2. This is in good agreement with reported data. (orig.)
