S-f exchange contribution in REM surface energy
Description
The effect of 4f-shell on REM surface energy is considered. The quantitative evaluations of s-f exchange interaction contribution to liquid REM surface energy are performed. It is shown that the s-f exchange interaction makes a rather small contribution to surface energy (as maximum about 3% for Gd), though by an order greater than the analogous s-d exchange interaction in d-metals
