Proton-induced production of negative pions on 9Be

Description
The production of negative pions by proton beams on 9Be is examined. A model to describe such reactions is considered, in which the nucleus is treated by introducing short-range correlations between nucleons via a two-body correlation factor, whereas the pion-nucleon interaction is taken to be the nonrelativistic Galilei-invariant pseudoscalar-pseudovector interaction
