Computer simulation is indispensable for the study of the many physical processes important in the effort to achieve laser initiated fusion. Simulation studies at ILE are briefly reviewed with various examples of simulation results. The requirements of a super computer in laser fusion research are also discussed by showing the memory size and cpu time used for present simulations. (author)
