Monte Carlo model simulating atmospheric transport and diffusion

Description

A Monte Carlo model for simulating atmospheric transport and diffusion is described in this paper. The model presented is three-dimensional and includes an analysis of a non bouyant plume. The results referred to the analysis of the dispersion are compared with the ones provided by a Gaussian model. The classical model is modified using an original scheme in order to take into account the action of the shear flows existing in the first stages of the plume evolution. (Author) 11 refs
