Investigation of transition X radiation in tin foils
Description
The transition X-rays produced by 1-3.5 GeV electrons in a radiator consisting of 20 tin foils of 20 μ thickness each and separated from each other by a distance of 1 mm are investigated. The experimental spectra are compared with those calculated theoretically. The experimental results are in best agreement with the theory in which multiple scattering is taken into account
