Description

The chronology of the Tokamak development and the present state of development in various countries are described. The operational principle of the Tokamak and the related Stellarator are outlined. According to the author, the fuel supply of fusion reactors is secured, but there are still some technological problems to be solved. (GG/AK)

Abstract (German)

Auf der Basis russischer Literatur wird der chronologische Ablauf der Entwicklung des Tokamak und der jetzige Entwicklungsstand in den verschiedenen Staaten geschildert. Die Funktionsprinzipien des Tokamak und des ihm artverwandten Stellarator werden skizziert. Die Brennstoffversorgung von Fusionsreaktoren sei gesichert; es gibt jedoch noch eine Reihe zu loesender technologischer Probleme. (GG)
