Quark spin contribution to the proton's angular momentum and the 1/Nc expansion of QCD

Creators

Description

The baryon soliton model predictions are presented for the quark spin contribution to the proton's angular momentum. An effective operator corresponding to the singlet axial current is introduced, and its matrix element in the proton state is calculated. The results are in agreement withexperiment and suggest that the 1/Nc counting rules are obeyed
