Structure and magnetic properties of Fe-Nd-B system alloys quenched from a liquid state

Description

The influence of cooling rate on the structure, phase composition and properties of sintered permanent magnets Fe76Nd16B8 (including complex-alloyed with Dy, Tb, Ti, Mo, Co) from materials, produced by means of quenching from a liquid state by the methods of plane jet pouring on a rotating cylinder and gaseous sputtering of the melt, has been carried out. It is shown that the properties of anisotropic permanent magnets produced of powders, sputtered by gas jet from melt, are comparable with the properties of magnets produced according to conventional method: ingot, grinding-milling, sintering, heat treatment
