Calibration of a spectrometry multisphere system for neutron fields

Description
In this work it is presented the calibration of the neutrons spectrometric system of the Nuclear Regulatory Authority (ARN) in the Institut de Protection et Sure te Nucleaires (Ipn), Labourite dadaist et de Recherche s en Dosimetric Extern e, Cadarache, France. The multisphere system is composed of 9 polyethylene spheres of high density, with a gaseous detector of 3He and associate electronics. The matrix of energy response to the system neutrons was obtained applying the MCNPX code for the range of energies between thermal and 100 MeV with cross sections taken from library ENDF/B-VI. The neutron spectra of the multisphere system were obtained applying the deconvolution code LOUHI82. The relationship between the theoretical responses and the experiences obtained with the AmBe and 252Cf sources are also presented in this work

En este trabajo se presenta la calibracion del sistema espectrometrico de neutrones de la Autoridad Regulatoria Nuclear (ARN) en el Institut de Protection et Surete Nucleaire (IPSN), Laboratoire d'Etudes et de Recherches en Dosimetrie Externe, Cadarache, Francia. El sistema multiesfera esta compuesto de 9 esferas de polietileno de alta densidad, con un detector gaseoso de 3He y la electronica asociada. La matriz de respuesta energetica a neutrones del sistema se obtuvo aplicando el codigo MCNPX para el lrango de energias comprendidos entre termicos y 100 MeV con secciones eficaces tomadas de la biblioteca ENDF/B-VI. El espectro de neutrones resultante del sistema multiesfera se logro aplicando el codigo de deconvolucion LOUHI82. En este trabajo se presentan las relaciones entre la respuesta teorica y la experimental obtenidas con las fuentes de AmBe y 252Cf. (autor)Additional details
