Description
An ICP-AES (ICP optical emission spectrography) method for the determination of Mo, Y content in the titanium alloy is described. The interference of titanium content and acid content of the solution to the results are studied in details. This method is simple and rapid, we need only to dissolve the specimen with sulphuric acid. It is confirmed that this method could be applied to determine the constant content element of a titanium alloys. The relative standard deviations of Mo and Y are less than 5% and 10% respectively. This method can be used to routinely check for the titanium alloy. (authors)
