Influence of some heat engineering factors on the reliability of water-cooled reactor systems
Description
For investigating the reliability of water cooled reactors heat engineering factors influencing the coolant circuits have to be studied. The properties of some reactor materials in relation to heat physical processes in the reactor are discussed. Corrosion, vibrations, critical heat load of heat exchanger surfaces, application of carbon steels in order to reduce cost and radiation doses in comparison to chromium-nickel steels, and coolant purity are reviewed
