Description
The germ toxicity of exciting energy resource 147Pm of fluorescent paint was studied. It was shown that the placenta was a barrier for 147Pm entering into the fetus. The retention T1/2 was 105 days in testes. The retention value of 147Pm in testis was high and hardly to excrete. The results showed that 147Pm can induce abnormal sperms, most of them were non-hock sperms. The chromosome aberrations in germ cells also can be induced. Among the type of chromosome aberrations of spermatogonia, chromatid breakage was predominant. The 147Pm can cause the chromosome fragment and translocations of primary spermatocytes, and increasing of lethality. The dominant skeletal aberrations in offspring is proportional to the accumulated radioactivity of 147Pm in tests
