Determination of atomic eigenvector magnitudes by isotopic substitution
Creators
- 1. Australian Atomic Energy Commission Research Establishment, Lucas Heights
Description
The magnitude of eigenvector components can be obtained directly from isotopic frequency shifts. The theory, to first-order approximation, is given. The result is tested by calculations on normal (Zn32S) and substituted (Zn34S) cubic zinc sulphide. The accuracy and usefulness of the result is assessed.
