Description
The level width of nuclear levels of compound nuclei has been investigated. The model used here is a stochastic interaction of the particle mode with a bath of the surface vibrational modes of the nucleus. The stochastic nature of the interaction is described by a correlation time tausub(0). The decay rates are expressed in terms of tausub(0). (author)
