Description
A model of stochastic transfers, using a Monte Carlo method and accounting for sequential evaporation, has been elaborated and applied to reactions in the Fermi energy range: between 27 and 44 A.MeV. The results are compared to a large set of experimental data: energy spectra, correlations between projectile-like and target-like products, isotopic distributions and neutron multiplicities. Major features of these reactions are reproduced. Besides this agreement, a modification of the transfer mechanism is needed to incorporate pre-equilibrium emission. (orig.)
