Description
An analysis of the ''General Instructions and Standard Values for Calculation'' shows that a correct assessment in terms of order of magnitude is possible by means of a simple model comprising the main long-lived radionuclides and their time-dependent mean uptake through the pathway of ingestion of food from the terrestrial food chains. The drawbacks of such a deterministic approach as compared with models also referring to natural variables of locations can be compensated for by appropriate modifications. (DG)

(DG)Additional details
