Back and white holes - can they be Newtonian

  • 1. Presidency Coll., Calcutta (India)

Description

An attempt is made to show that a black hole is essentially a un-Newtonian phenomenon and owes its origin to some strange features of Riemannian geometry which has both space-like and time-like dimensions. It is explained as the result of the radial coordinate lines changing their character from a space to a time coordinate. (K.B.)
