Description

To develop a new membrane electrode for determination of molybdenum (6), a study was made on electrochemical behaviour of solvent extraction systems: Mo(6)-organic solvent-N-aryl-substituted hydroxamic acids (N-benzoyl-N-phenylhydroxylamine(BPHA), N-cinnamoyl-N-phenylhydroxylamine(CPHA) and N-cinnamoyl-N-tolylhydroxylamine(CTHA)), as liquid membranes of a ion selective electrode reversible with respect to molybdenum. Liquid membranes on the base of Mo(6) chelates with BPHA, CPHA are shown to possess the electrode function with respect to Mo(6) ions in the 10-5-10-1 M concentration range at pH=1-10 in the presence of W(6), Fe(3), Co(2), Ni(2), Cu(2) ions
