Development of an active neutron NDA system for nuclear nonproliferation and nuclear security
Creators
- 1. Japan Atomic Energy Agency (Japan)
Description
• An integrated active NDA system was developed to acquire knowledge of active non-destructive assay (NDA) techniques for measurements of nuclear materials in a highly radioactive fuel. • The developed system 'Active-N' combines three complementary NDA techniques; DDA, PGA and NRTA • We found that Active-N can quantify nuclear materials and identify neutron poisons.
