  • 1. Science and Technology on Reactor System Design Technology Laboratory, Nuclear Power Institute of China, Chengdu, Sichuan (China)

Description

This paper briefly introduces the main functions and composition of the SVDU which is an important part of the safety DCS platform, studies and discusses the key technology and design principles of the SVDU in terms of safety, reliability, independence and human factors engineering, according to the relevant laws and standards and by comparing the system architecture, key technical parameters of the SVDU among Siemens, Tricon and Mitsubishi. This paper also presents a system design of a nuclear power plant SVDU on the basis of these design principles, which has been successfully applied in the development of NASPIC. (authors)
