Two-photon decay of 2+ mesons and SU(3)sub(f) symmetry breaking
Description
The consequences of a model for the transitions of tensor mesons to two photons are examined. The f0, A20, f' -> 2#betta# decays are expressed in terms of experimentally measured on photon transitions of vector mesons to pseudoscalar mesons and remarkable agreement with experiment is demonstrated. The model requires the SU(3)-flavor symmetry breaking observed in vector meson radiative transitions to determine the pattern of symmetry breaking in radiative decays of tensor mesons. (orig.)
