Description

Starting from an exact solution of the dissipative MHD equations for a magnetic neutral layer with intrinsic stagnation point flow a normal magnetic field component is introduced as a perturbation. The resulting set of coupled ordinary differential equations is solved numerically and the behaviour of the perturbed quantities with distance from the neutral layer is presented and discussed.
