Description

The paper outlines the evaluation process of deriving heat transfer coefficients from measured data in the cold leg by virtue of an iterative one-dimensional method and demonstrates this assessment for a representative experiment. The evaluated heat transfer coefficients of all TEMB experiments are presented in terms of Nu-numbers as compared to the well-known semi-empirical correlation by Hausen in order to assess the validity of this general correlation for the specific PTS-requirements.
