An integrated imaging approach to osseous disease

A wide choice of diagnostic imaging modalities faces the radiologist and referring physician when they are confronted with suspected osseous disease. These would include standard diagnostic radiographic procedures, X-ray tomography and magnification radiography, computerized axial tomography, nuclear medicine procedures and ultrasonography. Future developments in imaging may well add to this armamentarium, including digital angiography, digital subtraction radiographic techniques and nuclear magnetic resonance.
